Scott C. Smith ("The Public Death of Terri Schiavo") wrote, "Terri Schiavo, the Florida woman who has been in a persistent vegetative state since 1990, following an chemical imbalance that caused her heart to stop, resulting in brain damage, died on March 21, 2005."

Now my question, if allowed, is: Can YOU PROVE the above statement???

about Christianity in a long time, maybe ever. I have been feeling exactly as you do, and have always wanted to question these things in conversation with die-hard Christians who come beating on my door to "save me", but could never even begin to attempt to say it as eloquently as you have. The law was given to make sin known. The law was given to show us who we really are by nature. All of us know someone who has lied, cheated, maybe even committed adultery. If you don't, your lying to yourself. None of us are that good that we can live up to the moral standard of God's law. You have to be true to yourself and realize that when you break GOD'S law you are committing a sin. No matter how small it may seem. We are lost in sin (believe it or not) until we ask Jesus to become the whole of our lives. You see PRIDE is the grandparent of all sins, and nobody is going to tell me what to do is the self righteous attitude that is dripping in that letter of the Ten Commandments. What if what you say is true? Then you'll be laughing all the way to your next life. But what if it's NOT!!!

Re: "8 Questions for Jeff Gannon". Thank you for the most current appearance of Mr. Guckert. His answers to the questions were so evasive and broad. I really do hope he returns, but not as a journalist! A weekend at a seminar for $50 (meals included) at a Journalism School should not give you access to the White House briefing room, or should it? I lived in Wilmington, De, am gay and 36, and he looks very familiar. I feel sorryfor him.

How can you compare Helen Thomas and Jeff Gannon?  He got to the White House with a weekend workshop as his journalistic training; she was in print and radio journalism for almost twenty years before she got to the White House. He's a hack, she's a professional.

Editor's Note: In no way was I attempting to equate the esteemed Helen Thomas with the bogus Gannon/Guckert; I was only trying to see how the latter would respond to such a comparison. Sadly, many see Thomas' "liberal bias" and Guckert's Republican bias as two sides of the same coin--if my question gave the impression that I bought into this line of thinking, then I apologize.

The article was great but it should have made specific mention of the Democratic wimps as Senator Obama, Joe Biden, etc. (not just Lieberman) and many others who are bent on the destruction of the party! There are many Zell Miller-lites in the party.

I've read countless articles and rants against the Bush administration. Your "Thank a Vet For Your Freedom" article was beautifully written.  I'm
particularly fond of the next to last paragraph ("Instead of clapping your hands to a bloody pulp...").

I just wanted to say that I appreciate such a clear and well written piece on such an important and complex subject. If only the MSM was as eloquent and conscientious...
