Biased Opinion Articles?

I just saw CounterBias.com for the first time (5/06/04).  What impression should I have?  Am I to believe you are without bias?

Your story regarding Karen Hughes makes numerous references to her being French born.  No mention of her national origin, citizenship, etc.

I haven't read her book, and I don't plan to.  I also think smearing Kerry for being too close to the French is ridiculous.

However, your story is just as poorly written and biased as those critical of Kerry.  Perhaps worse. Stories written about Kerry and his relationship with the French or other foreign governments, although a stretch, lend themselves to the idea that his
administration would be influenced, perhaps too extensively, by foreign governments.  What point does your article make?  His smearing her for being born in France (as a U.S. citizen?) and your celebration of it shows a lack of principle.  If your goal is to point out bias, hypocrisy, etc., shouldn't you at least attempt to rise above it?

Smearing Hughes

I read with interest your column on Karen Hughes, and wanted to point out something about her being born in Paris.  She was born there because her father was in the U.S. Army and was stationed in France at the time.  I think it's a bit different than being French, though I'm not completely sure what the big deal is about that.  (I admit that it's good for a laugh, a joke, but that's about it for me.)

Anyway, smearing Ms. Hughes is a bit low, don't you think?  At least smearing her for something she is not seems to be.  Perhaps you'd consider a correction on the piece, for at least that part of it.  I know yours is an opinion site, but you should have facts straight.  BTW, providing links for your sources might help, too.  I'd be interested in seeing where some of your information comes from.

Wes Clark, War Criminal?

Gowans is a such a flipping loser.   Actually, the entire gang here died laughing reading his ludicrous piece of crap with regards to Mister Bush, and Gowans childlike, lame insults of 4-STAR GENERAL WESLEY K. CLARK.

Gowans, buy yourself a clue.

Do you know what the overall consensus is over here right now?   Do you know what the overall consensus is on who we want to see at our helm after the November election? I don't think you do. Jay, Michael, Ray, Lonnie, none of the guys here think you do. You are no better than the other 'blinded by the right' LAME-HEADED idiots who sit in their fat desks in America sending out insults about true American Heroes who have served our country.

You seem to forget some people in your articles who skipped out their Guard Duty and turned up missing for the majority of the time they should have served. Gowans, do you truly believe that we sit around and buy your filthy "war criminal" remarks?

Did you, like General Wes Clark, serve in Vietnam?

As we read your article and laugh our asses off at your true brainwashed stupidity, we only wonder if your Editor really knows what a prize he has in you.

Editor's Note: Gowans is not a regular Counterbias contributor, and this was his first and, as of now, only piece for our publication. Editorially, Counterbias strongly disagrees with Gowans's characterization of Wes Clark as a "war criminal", but we do not force our editorial agenda on our contributors. We wish General Clark the best in his new journey in American politics.
