YUSHCHENKO DIOXIN DRAMA

(Well, there's my attempt at a Sun -- sorry, only Canadians will understand -- headline).

Nonetheless, the Times offers the story:
Mr. Yushchenko has always been vague on the topic of who tried to poison him. He fell ill after having dinner on Sept. 5 with the head of Ukraine's successor to the K.G.B., Ihor P. Smeshko.

General Smeshko has acknowledged meeting Mr. Yushchenko but dismissed the notion that he might have been involved in poisoning him, as many of Mr. Yushchenko's supporters say they suspect.
I'm not necessarily a Yushchenko "supporter" (I'm not Ukranian, nor am I spending time in any streets or large gatherings of angry and/or excited individuals), but I suspect the same.

Yushchenko's poisoning has long been suspected, only casually mentioned in the news, but now the proof has arisen. Hopefully they catch the culprits.

Yeah, right.
