Who likes Tucker Carlson? And who keeps hiring him?
I'm flabbergasted. Apparently, MSNBC is giving Tucker Carlson his own show.
First, a major role on CNN's "Crossfire". Then his own show on PBS. And now, his own show on MSNBC?
The real question on my mind: who the hell likes Tucker Carlson? Conservatives aren't especially fond of him because he doesn't always toe the Republican Party line (outside of Crossfire, at least). Liberals hate him because - well, he's a pompous, arrogant blowhard.
(Hell, even Canadians find the guy sickening. Cases in point: "Without the U.S., Canada is essentially Honduras, but colder and much less interesting" and "Canada needs the United States. The United States does not need Canada" and "Canada's essentially ... a made-in-Taiwan version of the United States". Like I said, pompous and arrogant.)
It is of my judgement that nobody actually enjoys watching or listening to Carlson. So who is hiring him - and why?

The only thing to like about Carlson (if you're politically left) is that he's utterly inept. There hasn't been a "debate" this guy hasn't lost, as he tries to go for quoteability rather that rationality. In that, he's a success; so perhaps the advertisers like him?
I think Tucker Carlson is one of the most articulate guys on tv. He calls it like he sees it. He does not care what you think, he believes in family and he is not afraid of anyone. This is not what you see with the other guys who try to be popular. I think he is great because he is honest and hardworking.
Well I googled this exact question and came up with your blog. Carlson is the beau ideal of the young Republican female set, with his floppy hair and bland look. No threat that This guy is gonna try and get into their pants..he'd get lost, even in a thong. As it is Thanksgiving, , I want to express thanks that he's finally eschewed the bowtie, and his disingenuity is becoming transparently obvious to all...plus he's as goofy a non dancer as anyone I've ever seen..time to go back to the frat party, get a girl bombed so he can get laid...
