Bob Somerby responds to my previous post
Gotta love people who respond to e-mails. Bob Somerby of The Daily Howler is one of those people, and he got back to me after I sent him an e-mail suggesting that he follow up on my post about CNN's Ed Henry.
Here's what Bob e-mailed me back with (hope he doesn't mind having his private e-mails published!):
By the way, if you don't read The Daily Howler, you are far behind the times.

Interesting. I wouldn't hit him as hard on the "hypocrisy" matter because heYes, quite GOP-friendly.
was accurately reporting what Reps werre saying, if in a rather selective
and repetitive way. On the other hand, it's also hard to tell from his
report which party put the tax snoop provision in:
HENRY: The second problem is, why did it get stalled? It got stalled because of that tax provision that was added by a congressional staffer at the last minute. No one has been able to track down exactly how it got in. But there's been a lot of bipartisan outrage about the fact that this provision would have allowed members of Congress to look at individual tax returns. From that, you would think that a staffer of unknown party put it in, and both parties were trying to get it out. A very GOP-friendly recitation.
