Reaping The Fruits Of Feminism February 8 2006
== Dear Friends, This article is written mostly for my sisters in Christ who are struggling with the fruit of feminism. What is the fruit of feminism?
I firmly believe that we can trace these ills of society to feminism. Feminism is a radical transformation of our culture. Traditional families are to be destroyed, and as a result lives are lost through disease, suicide and abortion. Do you think I may be exaggerating a bit? Here are some excerpts from the National Organization for Women:
In contrast, there is nothing more satisfying for a woman of God, than doing as He commands. Obedience to our husbands, while living moral lives brings peace and happiness to our homes. Obedience is not a "bad" word, nor is submission. When you obey the LORD and submit to His commands, you will find rest for your soul, as you will reap a quiet heart. Part of obedience to the LORD is submission to the man God has placed in your life to lead you -- your husband. I recently came across an article written by R.C. Sproul, which beautifully expresses how we should look at submission to our husbands from a Biblical viewpoint:
Please compare the above quoted wisdom from Dr. Sproul with a quote I found on the website "Quotations About Feminism:"
A rebellious attitude like that expressed above will only lead to rebellion, and the destruction of our society. My prayer for Christian women is that they not fall for the propaganda coming out of the feminist movement. I remember as a young woman feeling awkward and intimidated, as I did not have any desire for a career. My heart's desire was to be a wife and mother. I praise the LORD that I was able to stay home, raise my sons, bake cookies, help with their schoolwork and keep a clean house. My husband recently brought to my attention that I had been slipping into a feminist state of mind. He reminded me of when I first became a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ; I had tacked a note to our kitchen bulletin board, which read: Angie's Priorities: #1. God #2. Husband #3. Children #4. Church #5. Ministry His complaint was that I had begun to place him at the bottom of the list, and he was right. My plea to Christian women is for you to keep your priorities in proper order by placing Christ at the center of your life; this will enable you to love the LORD with all your hearts, respect your husbands, love your children and be content with what God has given you. Don't buy into the lie of feminism, as our society is presently reaping its fruit. Submit yourselves to God's clear teaching on your role as a Christian woman, and you will see righteousness taking root in your family, which will then produce fruit of happiness and joy. Amen.
