James Dobson Mixes Christianity With Belial

"Belial - Found frequently as a personal name in the Vulgate and various English translations of the Bible, is commonly used as a synonym of Satan, or the personification of evil. This sense is derived from II Cor., vi, 15, where Belial (or Beliar) as prince of darkness is contrasted with Christ, the light." - Catholic Encyclopedia

President George W. Bush not long ago made a claim that God urged him to invade Afghanistan and Iraq. I suppose God specifically also warned him to avoid capturing Osama bin Laden, because it might make Santa Claus lose his lure among kids.

This is what he reportedly said:

"God would tell me, George, go and fight those terrorists in Afghanistan. And I did, and then God would tell me, George, go and end the tyranny in Iraq… And I did."

Note that God specifically didn’t mention bin Laden. Makes sense doesn't it, as the old goat is still on the loose. Oh, God also urged him to protect Texas against an imminent Vietcong attack during the Vietnam War.

This is not the first time that President Moron has hinted at such divine proximity. After all, many Americans (once) believed that God talked to his guy. Where was the audience held? At the Yale alter?

He has evangelical friends – even the speaking in tongues type – who will back him up.

I am not sure Dr James Dobson speaks in tongues but he does have a way with his Focus On The Family. They are heard in Kuala Lumpur – nice, balanced and well-presented. I once liked them till the man transfigured into a creep. Religion has such an effect. It's the rites de passage of Mammon.

Take a look at the man's politics. He has privileged information about Justice Harriet Miers that even Congressmen don't have. And he is a staunch supporter of Bush. Is he a little obsessed about her sexual purity? Religion again has a cockeyed notion about morality.

After all, Dr Dobson - the family man - supports the same Bush who:

1) Sent close to 2,000 US military personnel to their deaths in Iraq, all based on a pack of canards that can reach up to the "heavens"; places where God scrupulously tries to avoid. Just how many soldiers were maimed and disabled for life? God only knows. How many American families were shattered? Where is that focus?

2) Caused the deaths of perhaps 100,000 Iraqis. How many families were shattered here? I have placed this as point two as US Christians need some sense knocked into them.

3) Caused many more deaths - American, Taliban, Afghan and maybe a few terrorists. Again, how many families had their lives devastated?

Don’t be shocked. There is no paradox here.

Religious hypocrites are sleazy bedfellows with liars and "killers." Now how many times has Bush used that word? Nothing new. Pat Robertson wanted Hugo Chavez killed, a very Christian deed, matching his delusional definition of the word "Savior." Or did he find the savior in Bush? Jimmy Swaggart would have been in the fray too, except he fell short of sexual purity some time back while conducting his miracle concerts.

Again I cite history, this time biblical history. Aren't super-evangelists/religious freaks the world’s biggest liars? Those "full of murders" and "rotten bones" inside? Sounds familiar? Well, those were Jesus' words. At whom was he blowing his top every other day? Criminals, fornicators and gays?

No, he was tanning the hide of those who were killing vestiges of hope among the imperfect, among children, among people who were struggling against odds placed by religious lunatics.

Dr Dobson should just focus on the family, help retrieve every rotten bone, or mend every broken one among Christians. For societies are built out of families, and leaders come forth from societies. Dr Dobson is not doing a good job I gather, unless Bush is your idea of a great leader.

The likes of Dobson are more adept at creating proselytes who are likely to be "twice the sons of the devil" as they are themselves. Those words - again - are not exactly mine. They are indeed strong words.

But here is a cool detached question that concerns rotten stuff and bones. And the words are mine!

Is it right for a Christian to consort with someone from the Skull and Bones sect? Christianity and Belial don't mix. It is forbidden. In Dr Dobson's world they can.

Wanna sing hallelujah the next time this creep comes around?
