Way to Paradise
Billions may disagree with the policies of
the Bush Administration, but they are evil and do not count

George W. Bush has finally gotten his wish: Democracy is on the
march! You can almost hear the goose-stepping. Everyone who is
anyone agrees with the wisdom of the Great Leader. At the White
House, and on the road, there is not a dissenting voice to be heard.
Hail victory!
Of course, unanimity is easy. The smaller the electorate the simpler
it is to “persuade” others to see the correct point of view.
Luckily, morality exercises a profound influence on this
administration. Evil is excluded that goodness might prevail. All
decisions are made only by the most noble. And here, “nobility” is
of the utmost importance.
You must be rich in order to be noble. You must also possess a
strong sense of class-consciousness. You must believe implicitly.
All of your ideas, thoughts, and aspirations must be subsumed within
the dominant psyche. It does not matter that this controlling force
is but a receptacle for these ideas. It contributes nothing to them;
doesn’t even analyze them or evaluate them. The owner of this “well
of good intentions” is merely a vehicle. Embracing all the diversity
that the world has to offer, The George – in his infinite wisdom –
has incorporated even the most abstruse of Eastern philosophies. In
little more than four years’ time, he has reached the Buddha’s goal
– the Great Nothingness of Nirvana (Nerve-ana).
Nothing exists inside the Presidential head. Nothing stirs within
his heart. The sufferings of humanity are extinguished. All is
alchemically transmuted – the base into gold. For our George W. Bush
has proved wrong all the great prophets. The goal is not much more
than to contain nothingness, to suppress all earthly desire, and to
conclude the endless cycle of wont and rebirth. Mr. Bush’s great
goal is to gather unto himself all of the riches of the Globe, and
then to purge himself of this great weight by sending these same
trifles out again to the needful devout.
Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, and Condoleezza Rice are the high
priests and priestess of this long-awaited revelation – the newest
testament of all. Pretty logical really, when you consider that,
“testaments,” as in “last wills and testaments” were among the first
concerns of the new era. One should not tax the wealth of the few
that it might fly into the hands of the undeserving. And most people
are – let’s face it – undeserving. The good man or woman must give
unto the Enlightened One all of his or her physical possessions. In
exchange, these human beings receive the most precious gift of all –
freedom. And as we all know, freedom equals democracy.
George W. Bush has proven his commitment to virtue and democracy in
everything he has done. Lately in particular, he has demonstrated
that the general will demands, among other things, that Syrian
troops withdraw from Lebanon, that Iran cease and desist from it
real or not real weapons program, and that the benighted nations of
Europe not sell arms to China. A quick glance at these marvelous
ideas, and one might just conclude that there exist opinions and
“values” other than those of George Bush and his sacred minions.
But… you would be wrong. It goes back to our first premise – that
only the good might have voice, or vote. George W. Bush is America
(He says that all the time, just listen).
America, being holy, is never wrong, never evil. It would be
perfectly fine if American troops were occupying Lebanon, as they
are occupying Iraq. It would be perfectly fine if America were
developing a whole new generation of deadly nuclear weapons (which
it is). And you can bet your bottom dollar, that it would be
perfectly fine if America were selling weapons to China (right now,
we’re busy selling them to Iraq, and various other nations that
desperately need them in order to join us in the War on Terror).
Yes, America may sell its government bonds (i.e. its financial
security); its jobs (i.e. its people’s welfare); and its principles
(i.e. its plutocratic ideals to the People’s Republic), as these are
things of genuine value and virtue. Goodness alone carries a price.
In short, billions may disagree with the policies of the Bush
Administration, but they are evil and do not count. The wicked have
no voice. Your dreams are of no account, so surrender them. Let the
credit card companies relieve you of your earthly cares. Refuse that
unnecessary raise in your minimum wage. Allow your local public
schools to sink under the weight of unfunded mandates and tests. And
when there isn’t anything else left to give, give them your vote.
You can give of others too. Sons and daughters are particularly
appreciated as fodder for the war on tyranny. Remember that there
are yet distant nations that do not know what it means to be free.
So,
Believe. Worship. Obey.
Give yourself up to the great nothingness and….
Goose step the way to Paradise!
