Jeff Gannon worked as a White House reporter for Talon News, a GOP organization, until becoming embroiled in controversy. He continues to run his site.

You call yourself a "voice of the new media" -- has this voiced now effectively been silenced?

Not at all. I'll be back, stay tuned.

Bob Somerby of The Daily Howler believes that your story is not really a story at all, and liberals should move on to bigger issues. Do you agree?

What would liberal bloggers do next that they could have any influence on? Character assassination and conspiracy theories seem to their niche.

Share your thoughts on Helen Thomas. Is she just the left-wing Jeff Gannon without the gay stuff?

Helen and I have always treated each other cordially. While I am sure we disagree on many issues, I would never want to interfere with her ability to be a journalist and I'm sure she feels the same towards me.

I can see you getting a show on FOX News or MSNBC. Do you have a future in punditry?

I am currently looking at many options. I hope to have something to announce soon.

What's with gay Republicans in the blogosphere and what you term the "new media" -- people like Andrew Sullivan, Matt Drudge, and now James D. Guckert? Is it at all hypocritical?

I'll let Andrew Sullivan and Matt Drudge speak for themselves, but I
don't see where I have been the least bit hypocritical. Please note that I am not making any statement about my sexuality nor theirs. Mine is a personal matter that I do not wish to discuss publically at this time.

Do you believe you did anything wrong -- if so, are you ashamed of any of it?

Like everyone else, I have made mistakes in the past that I regret. But I believe in a God of forgiveness and take comfort in the redemption He provides. As far as my reporting, I am proud of my work over the past two years.

How are you now spending your days? Seems like you have a lot of time reading (and linking to) stories about yourself.

I am reviewing much of the material on the internet and in publications along with my lawyers to determine what might be actionable.

Where does Jeff Gannon go from here?

There is no reason to look backward, so I am determined to move on to whatever the future holds. I will continue to be Jeff Gannon.
